However, before I invest in such a project I need to know some rather simple information form current owners of these beasts. First, are there any "neat" joysticks available for the C64, where neat here is defined to be sculpted handle with trigger or thumb activated fire button. Second, for those of you with both a cassette and a disk drive, are the disks significantly faster? and is there sufficient advantage to pay the extra bucks? (do you recommend both for instance, and can you use the cassette to back up a disk?) Also I already have a 1200 Bps modem, can I hook an RS-232 port to the C64 and tell it that I have a modem attached? Can I run the C64 through a terminal attached to the RS232 port and thus get the 80 cols ? Finally, where is the best place to buy one, and what should I look out for when I see it demonstrated at the store.
