VenturCom's as stated is their trademark for their UNIX system. Another company had announced a product called VENIX (I am pretty sure of this) on a postcard with little hearts on it. It was supposed to be a CP/M implementation under UNIX. Since I had no use for such a tool, I through the card away. I assume they got my name from the USENIX association mailing list, but maybe not. Perhaps you should ask UNIX-WIZARDS if anyone who gets the UNIX junk mail that I do actually bothers to keep any of it. Just to make things worse DEC's "something like UNIX only different" under VMS is called VNX (also pronounced for those who insist on pronouncing things like this, as venix). -Ron
