I had a fear in the back of my mind that the thing might be mechanically linked to the joysticks, and as we've seen it turns out that *is* the case. However, I should mention that I have received messages from people who are rather "positive" toward the arm, and I'm told that "Robotics Age" magazine published an article detailing the hardware necessary to interface to micros. Obviously, for *serious* experimentation, the unit is inadequate -- but for casual, elementary experiments I'm told that it can be quite useful. Thanks to all who responded. --Lauren--
