I helped a friend purchase, install and use a Star Micronics Gemini 10x
with his C64.  An interface box is needed to use any generic printer with the 
C64.  The 10x is a fine printer with 120 cps, dot addressable graphics in a few
different modes, international and alterna|te character sets, ram suficient
to download a character set or buffer text and built well.

The interface box ywas very good but I can't recall the name now.  I can get it 
for  you if you need it.  The connection and set up is simple and 
it allows for use with disk or cassette drives or both.

the total price for interface and printer was 395.00.
