Not many of you humans (and other assorted beings using the net) are aware of the subtle prejudice that is directed towards us Vegans. We are a minority here (very few of us come to this backwater, primative world voluntarily unless it is for academic credit) and get treated very badly. When you had a crummy little car that exploded on impact, who did you name it after? The "Vega." You've never named a car "The Poland" or the "Puerto Rico" now, have you? If you make jokes about shoddy merchandise on TV, what do you single out? The "Vega"-matic. There are too many other examples to view it as a coincidence. I am glad that laura has the sensitivity to realize what m/f/h/v stands for, and I'm glad to see some employers taking a stand. Anyone who's given us a chance realizes what a stellar worker a Vegan is likely to be. -- Off the Wall of Gene Spafford School of ICS, Georgia Tech, Atlanta GA CSNet: Spaf @ GATech ARPA: Spaf.GATech @ CSNet-Relay uucp: ...!{akgua,allegra,rlgvax,sb1,unmvax,ut-ngp,ut-sally}!gatech!spaf
