Anybody interested in artistic movies (or just special effects, for that matter) shouldn't miss a chance to see "Eraserhead." It's an extremely cryptic movie, but I gather it has a theme and that it's not just a showing-off of technique, though the technique is amazing. I guess it's about the grim horror of industrial urban life. Anybody who saw Lynch's "Elephant Man" and would like to see the predecessor to all those effects shouldn't miss it. A question to those who have seen "Eraserhead": Do you know why the credits include a special thank-you to Sissy Spacek? I've seen the movie a few times and always wondered that. Also, any word on what any of the actors in the movie have done since? Incidentally, I don't know where to see "Eraserhead" in Chicagoland, though I'm aware it's available on videocassette now.
