In response to the question "How much time elapsed between TESB and ROTJ?"

I don't know; one would assume that it was at least three months (time for
Lando to return with Chewie and then go to Jabba's palace, ALONE) and
probably less than three years (gut feeling, since much longer and Yoda
would have said something about Luke being away so long --- you know by
Yoda's comments that Luke hasn't been back since he left to rescue his
friends.)

Call it a year or so?
