I came across a listing of local (Boston area) bands, and
although there were quite a few amusing band names, the one
which sticks out in my mind was "The Boston Police Cars of New
England."  (Imagine!  Four groups ripped off at once!  And they
claim to do "original rock"!)

If I come across it again I'll post some others....
