Since the problems with net.news.adm, and because the number of newsgroups we receive here in the far-off corners of civilization is, although slowly, increasing, we have the 'AUTONEWNG' feature active, allowing articles with non-existant newsgroups to create those groups locally. This group is especially mistreated, since several people insist on calling it 'net.news.groups'. Although I agree that it would be a better name, let's stick to the correct one! Other examples are 'net.needed' and 'net.4bsd-bugs'. (The article posted to the latter was posted to 'net.bugs.4bsd' *as well*; how's that for safe driving?!) Per Hedeland ...{!mcvax}!enea!erix!per
