Cleveland, Ohio Lines: 18 burdvax!cng calls \The New York Times/ a biased, liberal, left-wing paper. Although I have often found the \Times/ to be a more valuable source of news than the local paper here in Cleveland (\The Plain Dealer/), I will not comment on cng's evaluation since I have not read that paper regularly. However, I will comment on another popular paper, \The Washington Times/, which also serves a large audience. This paper, operated by the Unification Church, seems to present a biased, ultra-conservative, right-wing view of the world. Not a day goes by without a front-page story praising Our President for his latest "strong statement" or latest conquest. The editorial section almost always contains heavy criticism of \The Washington Post/ and of \The New York/ \Times/ for their biased coverage of the news. The format, layout, and presentation of \The Washington Times/ is admittedly superior to those of the \Post/, and I wish other papers would follow that example. When in Washington, however, I'll still read the \Post/; it's more balanced. Dave Decot decvax!cwruecmp!decot
