Here is another vote for Steamboat, this time from someone who has skied in
Montana, Utah and Wyoming, as well as much of Colorado and Taos.  (This may
seem strange for someone who lives in Atlanta, but I'm really dedicated!)
Steamboat is simply a pleasure to ski, no matter what kind of skiing you
want.  If you can handle it, skiing the powder through the trees on runs
like Shadows is incredible.  The only place I've skied that may possibly be
better is Jackson Hole, mainly because of the lack of lift lines there
(and, contrary to popular belief, you don't need to be an expert to have
a great time there).
