My wife and I got married right before starting graduate school. During graduate school we never expected to have enough money to count anyway, the rent and bills cover most of it but we made a plan for when we get out and both make money. We plan to keep three "virtual" accounts. Everything to the bank will be the same but we will keep them seperate. One account is for bills and household finances which certainly should be shared between two breadwinners. (winnng bread?) The other two are personal for personal spending money or whatever. We tried it for awhile and it worked very nicely except that the two personal accounts didn't amount to much so we merged into one. Of course you have to be careful not to start overdrawing.... -- Jeff Offutt School of ICS, Georgia Tech, Atlanta GA CSNet: Ofut @ GATech ARPA: Ofut.GATech @ Csnet-Relay uucp: ...!{akgua,allegra,rlgvax,sb1,unmvax,ut-ngp,ut-sally}!gatech!ofut
