I recall reading the following statistics:

The happiest people were found to be married but with no children in their
late twenties.  The unhappiest were people married with children.

About 70 per cent of the people who had children wish they didn't.

The Enquirer recently had a big headline that single women who never
had children had acute attacks of 'baby-love-hunger.'  Further reading
did demonstrate that only 20 per cent of single women had such symptoms
and most got over it in a few months.
