San Diego, Computer Center Lines: 32 Here is a questionnaire about net.singles that I am reposting since sdccsu3 was getting news thrown away for the past couple of months. 1. What do you perceive the function of net.singles to be? What would the ideal net.singles be like? 2. Would you contribute more articles to net.singles if anonymity could be guaranteed? Or do you feel that anonymity (and pseudonyms) should be discouraged? Why? 3. How would you design an anonymous newsgroup similar to personal ads column in newspapers, including a PO Box facility? The idea is NOT to have a convenient place for random graffiti, but to get people to start interpersonal relationships. This would be more of a notesfile for a local area network, not just for one machine. 4. Are persons who read computer network newsgroups significantly different from those who read newspapers? How? How do you feel about such groups as a form of communication? 5. Has reading net.singles improved your relationships with other people, or hindered them? Please give significant details. All replies will be GRATEFULLY accepted and acknowledged. --------- Cindy Paloma [...]!sdcsvax!sdccsu3!sdccs6!ix553 or UCSD Computer Center, C-010 La Jolla, CA 92093
