I look at it as having a lot of the pressure taken off me by someone else who is willing to assume part of the load. Of course, I'm one of those semi-neurotic Woody Allen types that gets quite nervous and even occasionally has physical reactions (like feeling sick to my stomach) when trying to work up the nerve to ask a lady out. A woman willing to take the first step saves me all this aggravation. BTW, I am not one of those who talks like I would like it but then reacts badly when it actually happens. It *has* happened two or three times that I can remember. I've never turned a lady down! But then, I've never had a woman interested in me that I didn't like.
