We are talking about the impression you form about someone after reading net submissions and/or private mail over some period of time, months or even years. This is more than enough time to get lots of personal and demographic information about the person(s) in question. My point in originally bringing this up was, this impression is often quite different (in my personal experience, anyway) from the one you get after finally meeting these people face-to-face. What about it, fellow netters? Anyone else ever meet someone face-to-face after a long period of electronic correspondence? Do you agree with me?
