A friend likes to tell about the time he and some other friends
of a groom gave the poor guy a stag party the night before
the wedding. (This was in either Norway or Denmark or Sweden.)
They got him drunk enough to pass out, then stripped him to his
shorts and put him on a train going to the other end of the country.
The wedding had to be rescheduled ...
We were married in the rose garden of a large park with music
provided by the carillon next to the garden. Clear July weather,
with roses in bloom. I just wish I'd bought silk flowers; we
ended up with half-dead coral-colored (Carla and Cyndi wore
blue) daisies. Ugh. If I'd gone along to pick up the flowers
I wouldn't have accepted them, either.
