		SPECIAL LECTURE ANNOUNCEMENT

Thursday, December 1st, 1:00 P.M., SF1102:  Professor Guy Cherry,
   University of Delaware, will present, in connection with the
   topics course CSC2429:  "Algorithms for integrating elementary
   functions in terms of logarithmic integrals and error functions".

   ABSTRACT:  This talk will present extensions to the Risch algorithm
   for integrating transcendental elementary functions in terms of
   some well-known special functions.  These extensions are based
   on a recent extension of Liouville's theorem on elementary
   integrals.  Examples from a MACSYMA implementation are also presented.
