I haven't seen any data which suggests that Canada Post needs to price business mail lower in order to retain their patronage (other than vague threats from various business organizations) nor have I seen any data which shows that business mail provides the larger share of Canada Post's income. I might be more sympathetic if such data was provided. Otherwise, I can only conclude that the business mail subsidy is a direct result of political pressure and lobbying.
