From December 23 until January 2, 1984, there will be  no  scheduled  backups.
In addition, there are no guarantees that anyone will be around to change rib-
bons on the Sanders printer or restart the system in the event of a crash.

If any of the computer staff are in between Christmas and New Years, the  sys-
tem may be shutdown from 1800 to approximately 1930 for a backup.  If a backup
is to be done, an announcement will be made to that effect at the beginning of
the day.
