The DH manipulates modem-control lines in rather more complex ways than the DZ, and the Gandalf modem on the CSRG line is set in such a way that this matters. (Specifically, it is paying attention to RTS, which just tracks DTR on a DZ but is separately controllable on a DH; the standard DH driver holds RTS at 0.) The CSRG line is on a DZ line until this can be cleared up; I haven't quite decided whether it is better to fiddle with the modem's option settings or make the driver a bit more sophisticated. None of the other Gandalfs are affected. -- Henry Spencer @ U of Toronto Zoology {allegra,ihnp4,linus,decvax}!utzoo!henry
