Lines: 19 (Apologies in advance for a potential rehash - I just started subscribing) I'm planning on buying a CD player soon and am looking for experience with the Sony, the Hitachi and the B & O. So far I like the features of the Sony and the price of the Hitachi (approx $500 in San Diego). My understanding is that there are two types of players, Phillips-inspired and Sony-inspired. According to some of the magazines (esp. the English ones), there are serious problems with Sony school's analog circuitry - rumored to be fixed in a follow-on model. Which manufacturers fall into which schools? Any light? Richard Kaufmann, TeleSoft (bell) 619 457 2700, (telemail) RKaufmann, (uucp) ..sdcsdvax!richard
