WWith regard to the effect of the extra (unused) pair ;of speakers,
who was it who said of the Clavichord that its sound was so gentle that
you couldn't hear it if there were another istrument in  the
room--even if the other instrument wasn't playing?  Peter Schickele
or Hugo Hoffnung, perhaps?
