I have a 1983 Scirocco which has 2 wipers -- one in the back and
one on the winshield.  I have noticed that the 1984 Scirocco has
two wipers (as do most cars) on the winshield.  Personally I
liked the one wiper in front -- it worked fine and was unique.
Has anyone read or does anyone know why Volkswagen might have
switched to two wipers?

By the way, does anyone know for which model year the 16 valve
140 hp Scirocco is aimed?  I have heard 1985.
