     I am interested in learning more about Asian histories,cultures,
    and philosophies. If anyone out there can suggest relevant reading
    materials it will be greatly appreciated.


     I am especially interested in Taoism,Buddhism (Zen in particular but
    would also like to learn about other Buddhist practices) and other
    Eastern religions and/or belief systems. Eastern medatation practices
    are also a favorite topic I'd like more info on.

     Since the school systems I attended did not teach much about the histories
    and various cultural groups inhabiting the region, I'd like more info
    in this area too. Ancient and modern histories are both requested.

    try to answer your replies a.s.a.p. but it may take a while to recieve
