Message-ID: <492@dartvax.UUCP> Date: Wed, 7-Dec-83 19:00:23 EST Article-I.D.: dartvax.492 Posted: Wed Dec 7 19:00:23 1983 Date-Received: Fri, 9-Dec-83 06:59:35 EST Organization: Dartmouth College Lines: 17 A few months ago I asked for help in getting our shared TM78/TU78 drives to work under 4.1BSD. I have not succeeded, but I have learned a lot. I've been spending a lot of time in the MASSBUS and TM78 drivers (now 4.2BSD, which has the same problem). Before I lose my vision (and mind?) I want to re-phrase my original question. Having 2 TM78's shared between 2 VAXen (750's) is [I think] just like each VAX having 2 TM78's on its MASSBUS. So the question is: does anyone out there have 2 TM78's on the same MASSBUS? If anyone running 4.?BSD does, I would like to hear from them, whether the drives work or not. Remember, the TM78 is the formatter, *not* the transport, so I'm looking for 2 formatters, not one formatter with 2 transports. Sooner or later I should have some useful results to post. steve campbell {decvax|linus}!dartvax!steve
