I have a question about the live television pictures from
the Shuttle chase planes:

Isn't some sort of highly directional antenna required to transmit
such a signal?
This came to mind when I recalled seeing TV news reporters doing
on-site live coverage of some story.  There was usually a van nearby
with a dish on the roof pointing back toward the station.

How does the Shuttle chaser transmit the TV signal?
