It uses several different I/O devices including a colour graphics CRT and slide display. From what I have heard, it is quite a bit more sophisticated than PLATO, having been developed more recently. I was under the impression that the system was developed by the NRC for the Canadian military. The only installation that I know that runs NATAL is CAL centre at CFB Trenton.
