I agree that socialism fails to provide motivation for production.
However, capitalism tends to fail insofar as distribution is 
concerned.  Also, it is rather ironic that the conservative
"Capitalistic" powers that be ( you all know who I mean) haven't 
done away with "Socialistic" price supports in certain sectors of 
the economy.
