Sure, capitalism allows for a minority of the people to obtain a majority of the wealth, but it also allows for alot more available wealth. I'd rather be average on the distribution scale in a capitalist country than a socialist (or communist) country. Is it not also ironic that no socialist or communist country has done away with capitalism in most sectors of their faltering economies. I suggest the use of capitalism by socialist governments far outweighs the use of socialist practices by capitalist systems, am not certain of this however.
