This newsgroup is finally dragging itself out of net.politics.flame and getting outrageous again. When I started reading and saw that I was at article 2271 of 2333, I thought, "oh, geez, 60 ponderous articles about Grenada." But no! Just simpleminded flaming, no big words, a smattering of nice, short four-letter ones, lotsa laffs & sex... 50 articles have flown by my screen in nothing flat -- no 'n' key required. The funny thing is, a couple of months ago I was sorely tempted to flame, like plx!jk, about the flaming in net.flame -- but that's what it's for. (Or else I've regressed to the catatonic flamers' level...) Don't let net.flame bother you. NEVER take it seriously. Laugh with when it's funny; laugh at it when it's pathetically worthless. Submit something totally absurd once in a while just to keep the juices flowing. Steve Summit tektronix!tekmdp!stevesu P.S. How DARE somebody call "Bloom County" "Clonesbury"! The only similarity between Bloom County and Doonesbury is that Bloom County is and Doonesbury was the best strip on the comics page. There's nothing wrong with that. By the way, Drabble's good too. Humph!
