Nobody said you have have to feel stirred by anything, not on net.flame anyway. The term "getting off" is also a bit inappropriate. I wonder what you're getting so defensive about? The pro-flag-waver articles merely defended the right to appreciate symbols, they did not defend or promote blind allegiance to anything. I'm an Raider fan, and when I see their symbol, it reminds me of something I like, that's all, the same is true of the flag.
