Over 20 years ago my hero, George S. Kaufman, best summed up my feelingss
about the overplaying of Chirstmas carols.  He was on a television show and
the host asked "And what is your Christmas wish, Mr. Kaufman?"  Kaufman
replied:  "I would like this to be a tv show that ends without the playing
of 'Silent Night.'"
