Center, Univ. of Texas at Austin Lines: 20 [Offering to the god of blank lines...] The 68000 forces word-alignment of the stack because it is not able to do a word operation at an odd address (because it's too stupid to do two bus cycles). Thus pushing a byte then pushing a word wouldn't work. Since this does make the stack pointer (A7) act strangely, a better solution would have been to use a separate dedicated register. Of course, the best solution would be to use an NS16032. :-) [No, I'm not connected in any way with National Semiconductor.] Shredder-Of-Hapless-Smurfs (or) Ken Montgomery ...{ihnp4,seismo,ctvax}!ut-sally!ut-ngp!kjm -- Shredder-Of-Hapless-Smurfs (or) Ken Montgomery ...{ihnp4,seismo,ctvax}!ut-sally!ut-ngp!kjm
