Professor Donald Norman, an occasional USENET contributor, was quoted
in the Boston Globe (Dec. 26) as having "a recurring nightmare."

    "'I am trapped,' he says, 'chained to a computer keyboard.
    All around me are my captors:  earnest young folk, all dedicated
    to their cause, fervent in their beliefs.

    "'They come in all sizes, shapes, colors, and sexes;  bearded,
    sloppy, neatly trimmed, in suit, tie, dirty T-shirt, jeans.  Each
    disagreeing with one another about the true way, united only
    in their opposition to me.'"
