I first noticed this in the local Naperville BK one day when I stopped in during a very dead time. there were no burgers of the sort i wanted already done, so they had to cook me one from scratch. i watched them "flame-broil" it, put it on the bun withthe tomato and lettuce, etc., and then put the whole thing in the microwave. i asked why they microwaved my lettuce, and they told me that it is standard policy. they told me that ALL BK sandwiches are waved before they are given to the customer, even if the sandwich is fresh off the grill! when i asked them not to wave my second burger (i ordered two), they looked at me like i was crazy or something, and had to get the manager to give them permission not to wave my burger. so much for BK. i went back to McD's, except when Arby's, Hardee's, or some other option is available. (Note: Wendy's salads are ok, but i don't like my "hot & juicy" dripping grease all the way to the table! thus wendy's are not a real option either.) -- ________ ( ) Don Stanwyck @( o o )@ 312-979-3062 ( || ) Cornet-367-3062 ( \__/ ) ihnp4!ihuxr!stanwyck (______) Bell Labs @ Naperville, IL
