  The standard notation for go, as used in English-language books
and the American Go Journal, for example, has columns designated A-T (omitting
I) and rows numbered 1-19, but with the bottom row as 1 and the top as 19,
just the opposite from the convention proposed recently in this
newsgroup and used in Bill Kanawyer's problem message.

  I think that now is the time for this newsgroup to change its 
notation to conform to the standard.
