The messages are used when the software screws up and the item is no longer fully identifyable. My favorite is from Rogue 3.6: A Nymph can steal a ring of aggravate Monster from your finger, but the software doesn't really believe it is gone. It won't let you put anything else on the same finger. After going down two more levels, you can "Remove" from that finger, and you get the message: Removed something weird - Keremath, care of: Robison decvax!ittvax!eosp1 or: allegra!eosp1
