A few days ago I drown in a magic pool when I walked across it.
The only thing that I can think of as different from any other
time I have crossed a pool was that I had a set of cursed chain mail
as my weapon-in-hand (yes, I had a few problems with that, but 
managed to kill monster because of a large STR).  

Anybody know the reason or circumstances for drowning in a 
magic pool?  I was playing version 9.0 (Bell Lab's SuperRogue).
