I have a Kenwood TS430s tranceiver which has been giving me troubles
almost since I bought it.  When I first brought it home, I made the
modification to it to allow the 10hz digit to be displayed.  This is
all that I've done to it.  I used it successfully for a month or
so, then the problem cropped up: it would only show the 10hz digit
(the one specially activated) and no others; furthermore, it wouldn't
work.  I took it to be repaired under warranty, used it for a couple
months more and the same thing has happened again.

The question: has anybody seen this problem?  That is, is it just a
fluke or is it a known bug?  And if the latter, is there a solution?
