The joke:  The VAX is a computer, and Unix [tm!] is an operating system.

Background info:  Today someone posted a few pages of output from the console
of one of our 11/780's.  It showed about 200 active processes, a user count of
51, and load averages in the high 40's.  Handwritten on the output was the
pithy notation:

How do you spell "dead"?
