I'm getting sick of all the tons of mail I get when I post one stupid
line which comments on someone else's joke!  I get flames that go on
and on about how incredibly stupid and useless I am and how I'm total
scum.  This makes me sick.  If we can't be tolerant we might as well
just delete net.jokes.  I'm convinced that if I put something here in
net.jokes.d about a particular joke, it'll be greeted either with
confusion ("What the **** is he talking about") or annoyance.  When
I responded to a comment that someone wrote in net.jokes, I said
"plus the original note wasn't a joke (unless the misspelling of "waste"
was intentional)"  and got a nasty flame.  I don't think people who
write things like that should be degraded over the net.  The net
is for COMMUNICATION, not restriction of ideas.
