I didn't see anything funny whatsoever about Dennis Ward's "joke".
The implication that (a) it is a wife's duty to do housework for
her husband, and (b) that if she doesn't he has a right to beat her
up, is hardly amusing. Wife battering is a serious problem in our
society. I am, frankly, appalled to see such view expressed on the
net, even (or especially) as a "joke".

I hope Mr. Ward isn't married.
