Another such meeting is scheduled for January sometime (the details are still being decided); hopefully, these companies will all have representatives there. Diser has a proposal out which has been discussed, and a second proposal made in Switzerland will probably also be talked about. I am in the Modula-2 group at Logitech, and since we are not yet on USENET, I have been given access at amd70, in the interests of language development. I would like to see a more general meeting with everyone who is marketing a compiler (or planning to in the near future), so the standard we finally establish is indeed industry-wide, and a good one that we can all be proud to support. If you are willing to put in time towards such a standard, and if you are interested in such a meeting, please reply by mail. If I can convince the proper parties to set this up, I will post the details to the net, if the response warrants it (otherwise, check your mboxes).
