Its designation is "ISO/DIS 7185". The ANSI/X3J9-IEEE Joint Pascal Committee (JPC) draft proposed American National Standard (dpANS) for Pascal was approved as a standard by the IEEE Standards Board on Sept. 17, 1981. ANSI also approved it (at some time unspecified in my copy of the standard). The standard was derived from the second draft of ISO dp7185 (the 2nd draft proposed international standard). The American standard is entitled "IEEE Standard Pascal Computer Programming Language", and is designated "ANSI/IEEE770X3.97-1983". -- Clay Phipps -- {allegra,amd70,cbosgd,dsd,floyd,harpo,hollywood,hpda,ihnp4, magic,megatest,nsc,oliveb,sri-unix,twg,varian,VisiA,wdl1} !fortune!phipps
