It is not conventionally shaped (ie: it doesn't look like a wand) - instead it looks like a 3 inch plastic disk with a hump in it about the size of a crayon. The whole product sells for like $40 at Children's Palace (et al.). Has anyone tried to use this? PS: Seems to me that I saw an article in the IEEE transaction on Consumer Electronics within the past year on the development of this inexpensive bar code reader.
