Information I have heard indicates that somewhere in the vicinity of 95% of all
embedded microprocessor designers/implementors who use VAXs as development
systems run VMS.  If this is true then engineers using BSD4.1/4.2 may find
themselves at the bottom of every cross-development tool builder's priority
list.

At any rate, why do you want to lock yourself in to Intel boxes?  There are
many fine emulator systems on the market most of which work in conjunction
with a VAX or similiar host system.
