PC-Talk supports the MODEM7/XMODEM/Christenson (sp?) protocol for single file transfer, but not batch transfer. It has worked fine for me at 9600 baud. PC-Talk is "freeware", which means you can copy and distribute it for free, but the author would appreciate your sending him $35 if you like it. If you do this, you will get updates in the future. I got my copy for free from the local IBM PC users group. If you want to transfer to the IBM running CP/M-86, that's another matter, which I have not yet confronted. However, I did bring up "cmodem.c" (from the SIMTEL archives) on a Zenith Z-100 running ZDOS (MS-DOS) and the Lattice C compiler. Presumably you could get it to run under CP/M-86 by using the DRI C compiler or another one. Good luck. If you need more info, contact me. Mike Ciaraldi ciaraldi@rochester
