The ZORK II program is supposed to allow you to make exactly one backup
copy in case the original gets damaged, but the code to generate the
backup didn't work when I tried it.  When I try to copy the disk using
diskcopy I get read errors.

Has anybody written a program to back up copy protected disks?  If not,
has anybody figured out how this protection scheme works?  The floppy
disck controller on the PC supports "read deleted data" and "write de-
leted data" commands; does anybody know what these do?
