New Haven,CT Lines: 14 Does anyone know how to easily format the XT disk for an interleave factor other than 6 (the value given in the Technical Ref. Man.) ? (I know of the BIOS functions to format the disk or a track which allow an arbitrary interleave factor to be specified, but want to avoid having to write the assembler code myself.) I have both the standard diagnostics supplied with the system and the advanced diagnostics supplied with the Hardware Ref. Man. I am assuming that these diagnostics format the disk with the interleaving factor set to 6. Thanks.
